How Hot Plates started
My love of food started when I was young. I was always cooking for friends, throwing little dinner parties and filling a table with good food and even better people. I’ve always loved what happens around a table — the conversations, the stories and watching people who walked in as strangers leave as friends. That love eventually became Hotplates.
I started by cooking meals for families, and today I’m lucky enough to work as a private chef for a family in Brisbane 4–5 nights a week, creating fresh dinners, lunches and snacks for them. Along the way, I fell in love with creating food for celebrations too, from intimate dinners to birthdays, engagements and everything in between.

But I always wanted to create something that felt a little more like me. A place where food, people, creativity and a bit of fun could all come together. That’s where Club Hotplates came from. Once a month, I get to bring 25 women around one table and create a completely new dinner party with different food, themes, tablescapes, brands and creatives. It’s my favourite part of what I do.
One day, I’d love to have a creative space of my own, grow the supper clubs and build a culinary retreat. But for now, it starts here with me, a table, good food and a room full of people who might just leave as friends.
